Hi, we have just taken away our CabaNON jupiter for the first time and are contemplating removing the kitchen as it's very tired and ridiculously heavy. Has anyone dobe his before and have any advice on moving electrics, obtaining a new cover etc?
I had the same problem with my Jupiter. I have fitted wheels on camp cooker very easy to do cost around £10 makes life easier and rolls over grass with no trouble
You cannot just remove the kitchen as it alters the towing as you will increase the noseweight. The only way to do this is to take the nosweight as it is with the kitchen on and then move the axel forward to achieve the same noseweight. You will then have to move the internal mudguards forward to line up with the wheels and then make the floor good again. Not a five minute job but thats the correct way to do it. You are basically changing a GL (with kitchen) trailer into a standard trailer (No kitchen). You then use the rear door of the kichen as the rear door to the trailer. Then you have to alter the transit cover to fit.
