Hi - reasonably new to the folding camper and on both occasions when we had rain the awning didn't drain and therefore filled with water - absolutely gallons of it. Great that it didn't leak through, but under extreme weight likely to damage the canvas.
Has anybody else experienced this and what is the solution. The awning appears to be up and pretty tight fitting all round. I have included a link to show a picture of the awning.

Be careful the weight doesn’t bend the poles!
We had a similar situation last year when the awning was up in the garden.
Lower the front poles a little so that the awning slopes, the rain runs off
and shouldn’t puddle on the roof.
Like any awning probably, water pooling = not taught enough.

Blue expo is quite right, canvas needs to be taught not flappy. Ours partially collapsed because of excessive storm water, bending the side front pole inwards thus trapping the water.
Blueexpo. Many thanks for the advice. I will make sure that the poles are as taught as possible and with a little slope to the front, as Sandra suggested, hopefully will solve my problem.
