Hi all.

We currently have a 1995 Conway Countryman. We absolutely love this camper and will have it for many more years to come however, the wife has decided she would like to modernise it (ie on the inside she would like to fit new vinyl floor, paint the wooden cupboards and kitchen units.)

I can see vinyl floor being a pain to fit but I’m willing to give it a go.

I would like to upgrade the tail lights. Possibly to LED.

Has anybody else done this and if so do you have any advice and pictures? Thanks Ben

Hello Ben, we brought a 94 Countryman a couple of years ago. I used stick down vinyl planks from b n q (about 20), brought 2in thick memory foam mattress (about 20), waterproof led light strings (15), stick on back splash tiles from Poundland (8), chrome handles for the furniture and chalkboard vinyl roll to cover the fridge which our young girls love drawing on.   Also brought a blow up sofa bed for the awning. The wife and I were well pleased with the results...

Hello Ben,

I loved my first Countryman! I only part-exchanged it for the toilet because with two teenage girls in tow it was a necessity.

I modernised my Pathfinder and I posted pics on a thread which is titled:

Pathfinder/Crusader - Canvas or Acrylic?

If you search for that thread you can see a conversation about it. Sorry I can't put the photos up here again, I can't remember which website I stored them on!! :-)

XVI yes?

As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.

Great stuff, VB. I’m not sure about you but I’m so looking forward to taking the camper out this year.

Oooo, absolutely can't wait. we had our first trip of the season last weekend, and we've booked for april. My plan for today is to prime all the rest of the cupboards so it's all finished for my trip. Lovely!!! :-)

You’ve done an amazing job JB. Home from home but under canvas but I found that I love it more. I guess it’s the personal touch.
