Hey there, hoping to here come folks experiences or advice with towing TT with a small car. I have an older car, 1976 Chevette its torque net when came out was111 Nm / 82 ft-lb/ 3400. It is already on the slower side but this trailer tent is so light I am unsure if it'll really have much of an effect. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, my plan is to get this trailer up and over a mountain pass.
We have an old 80's combi camp but a modern car, and it tows no problem. Don't know what model combi camp you have but they are all quite light. On the combi camp facebook group there are loads of owners who tow them with classic cars
Our Mini Clubman (2009) has 120nm of torque and tows our 600kg Conway Challenger without any issues. So a light weight trailer tent shouldn’t pose any problems
thanks I appreciate that info. just curious though what kind of journey you took it on, ive gotta do I good 5 hour jouney up and through a couple summits. there not huge but they are something to really consider with the extra weight! thanks!!!
