I have a 6ft 10 wide camper and a 7ft wide garage door to get through that has a small ramp. I don’t want to damage my camper so wondering what ideas people have? I’m thinking either some sort of guides that the wheels hit and I can push against or a winch on the rear wall to pull her in backwards? Any ideas please?

Motormover maybe? They are very good at getting inch perfect manoeuvring, and most models of camper can accept one as long as they have a decent Leisure battery onboard. A winch will only pull in a straight line with no facility for steering correction whilst actually transiting the doors, where has the mover can be corrected easily every step of the way.

I take it that once you are through your narrow doors there is a little more space widthwise in the garage itself?

Will there be any access in the garage when the camper is in?

If not there will be no way to switch off the motor mover.

Motor mover would probably cost more than the camper to be honest. It’s a council garage so only slightly wider once in there

How about a Purpleline hitchdrive, they bolt on instead of your jockey wheel and you just wind it along as well as steering, they don't make them anymore but you should be able to find a second hand one, I had one and used it to manover my caravan around,, useless on gravel though but on a solid surface it's be just the job even up a slight slope, it just means swopping the jockey wheel each time but that only takes a few minutes doesn't it.https://ir.ebaystatic.com/pictures/aw/pics/viewitem/imgEndedCvi_96x96.png

What do you mean by "small ramp". Is it like a small step it has to go up and over.

You only have 1 inch each side. That is really tight.

Is there some timber lining each side of the door. If so could it be cut away for the critical part where the trailer body is and then be detachable in some way.
