Hi Everyone

Hoping someone could give me their advice/benefit of their experiences...

Currently looking at purchasing a trailer tent. At the moment we particularly taken with the sunncamp 400SE but I guess the question is universal across brands/models..

We're seeing two version of the suncamp tent and awning...one in acrylic and the other a cotton based material.

Could anyone share their views on preference - I realise this could be contentious and perhaps purely personal preference. I suspect cotton harder to look after in terms of staining etc but perhaps acrylic has a shorter life - I just don't know. The sunncamp brochures I've found appear to show the acrylic as a better option but I could just be thinking that because I prefer the colour scheme of the acrylic version.

Many thanks everyone

Hi.

Having had an acrylic trailer tent (Sunncamp) & a canvas folding camper (Conway), I would personally go acrylic.

In my opinion acrylic is lighter weight, easier to keep clean, easier & quicker to dry before packing down and doesn't need any form of water proofing.

Not sure on the longevity of acrylic but our trailer tent was a 2010 model & it's still going strong. (Neighbour bought it from us).

As I said this is just my opinion, but hope it helps.

Deb x

Hiya

Thanks for that. Those views were largely what I was thinking. We thought acrylic may hold heat too much in summer hot days but think we’ll go for acrylic if we can.

Thanks Dave
