Hi all,
As anyone ever made a mesh door screen for their Fiesta (or other Pennine) and if so, how did you do it? I want to be bug free next year.

We haven’t fitted one, but I do know you can buy cross over mesh netting that Velcros to doors. There is Velcro on the mesh and you stick the other half to the door. Whether I would put sticky Velcro onto canvas Is the question.Aprt from anything else would it stick? Not to mention damage the canvas? I suppose you may get away with the new models as it is acrylic/vinyl(?) I’m not sure. I understand your wish to be big free and wish you luck in finding something to keep them out.
P.S I always tie a man’s handkerchief liberally sprinkled with Teatree oil on the curtain wire of our bedroom, to keep mozzies away. Never had a problem with them in 8 years.

Thanks JP. Yes, I was hoping to steer away from velcro. I've got a canvas model.

Could you hem the top of the mesh and slide a small curtain rod through it (the type you hand cafe nets from with little hook holes on the ends) and fashion something to the two upright poles either side of the door? I hope you can find a solution. 😊

tie on some elastic loops from the main part of the frame to just above the top of the door, then using a net curtain rod thread the magnetic type screen thr the rod and hang from the tie straps. on the bottom of each side of the magnetic curtain put some push fit poppers to hold it in place. you can then walk in and out and it will close behind you automatically. I have this on my back doors at home although its fixed at the top with Velcro and it works a treat, you can see out no bother but it makes it difficult for others to see inside until you put lights on, you can also move it to your awning door and hang it from the frame holding the corners to the fabric with a peg and a strip of fabric with a popper on it it too

I used a rod to hang a normal door covering one, and then slung it on a couple of cords fro the awning struts ... Worked well ...

Claydon camper, I had one made by Isabella. It has clips that fit to the awning poles across the door, like the bedroom pods. I drew a template and sent it to them. It wasn’t cheap but it is very strong and well made.

If your happy to send your email I’ll send you a photo?
