We went ridge tent frame tent caravan folding camper and we have no regrets about the folding camper. So long as you can put it up at home if its wet they are fine. I would however hate worrying about the weather if we couldn't open her back at base. I doubt pathfinder beds can be beaten for comfort and I like the kids being at the other end!

Can I be excused a little rant here.  I would like to reiterate previous comments about heavy kitchen units.  It is peculiar that this has not be though through by the majority of manufactors.  Those huge great unit that have to be lifted up onto the end of a trailer seem completely ridiculous and very badly thought out.  It seems to me there is a real market there for devising a different layout without the idea that there is always a male element present when pitching.

We would recommend a folding camper.

Having had 3 tents, 3 motor caravans and 3 caravans we find our Pennine Pullman is brilliant.

After caravans it is a dream to tow.

It is easy to erect with no pegs to knock in.

We are off the ground with hot water on tap, heat and light. Much more space than our largest caravan (a twin axle Wayfarer).

Once parked we have the car to take us were we want unlike when we had the motorcaravan.
