Hi all

I currently have a tent but after the current pandemic I am going to look at the option of purchasing and site storing a second hand folding camper or a caravan. I have around 3k for this. I know nothing about either but it appears that a caravan is a damp problem waiting to happen. The FC seem quite expensive though when you compare the fact they are really a caravan with a cheaper roof. Does anybody have any advice on what is a good product ,there is only me but I would like a fairly decent size , a toilet is not really needed as the FC or caravan would be permanently sited . I also have concerns about having to take the FC down and pack it wet , I have looked at the Dandy versions but they are either very cheap looking or very expensive and the newer models

If it's going to be permanently sited there is IMHO only one thing you can go for, a caravan.

XVI yes?

As well is two words!

Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.

Have a look at the pennine fiesta with the isabella acrylic fabric cabin. Might be an option.

we have had a pennine path finder for a year now and have found it to be excelent. it has a loo and is pretty easy for a couple of old croaks to put up.
you can pack it wet but dry it out when you get home or to the next site.
realistically you can use comfortably from March to October, some have a fan heater system but in but otherwise a small, thermostaically controlled mobile fan heater is perfect.
buy privately and 3000 would get you a really good one. check its been stored inside and check tyres and battery are not more than three years old. Pennine sell some second hand ones which give you an idea and the latter ones have all weather canvas.
good luck
