Can anyone recommend an alternative, lightweight awning to use on our Dandy Discovery?
TIA

I have a Sunncamp Swift 260 awning that I adapted to fit my Conway Cruiser. I'm not sure if it would work with a Dandy though. I sourced the right size zip and then sewed it on and it attaches really well. I got the idea from this site - there are some older threads on it if you do a search.

Simplest is to use a motorhome drive away awning. Throw the connecting flap over the top of the dandy and either tie to the other side or peg on the other side.

Difficulty will be getting an awning which allows the door to open fully. The dandy roofline slopes down each side of the door so when it opens it hits the roof.

The proper dandy awnings pass under teh dandy roof and tie inside to the roof poles. The awning poles fit over the dandy side wall and under the dandy roof.

People have fitted ordinary awnings though but often have to do a bit of sewing.
