Covid allowing we are about to go to Brittany for 10 days. So taking the opportunity to service the trailer. Breaking damper is blown so replaced. Checked brakes and adjusted and while doing noticed the tyres were perished. 135 80 R13 70T.

These have been a pain to locate! Seems online is the only way to get them and most of the UK suppliers are of European origin. Iím running out of time but have managed to find a supplier in London who, fingers crossed will have them tomorrow.

I was going to get the rims sprayed up but in hindsight new steel rims with tyres would have been cheaper. Such a waste in resources but a sign of the times I guess.

Moving forward whatís my options? I guess going for a wider rim but what will fit? The 135s would have been a pain to get off in the side of the road as they did not clear the wheel arch easily.

So UKTYREs in North London came up trumps and 1230 the trailer was back on the road with a set of 3 tyres fitted and balanced fo £111.

And in this instance UK actually means UK unlike most of the internet suppliers

With the new damper the trailer is towing really well and breaks without banging in to the back of the tow bar. So fingers crossed for the longer journey
