What else can go wrong before Monday!?.
So far, bringing the camper out of winter storage has required a new tiled floor, the disposing of a Wasp nest and the Queen wasp, a need for a repair on the canvas, two new tyres and now I discover the lights are playing up.

I think it has something to do with the plug as I am getting different faults each time I connect it, I also think I have a dodgy earth somewhere. So I am going to connect my light board to the car to check the car end is ok, then it's back to the FC with a can of WD40, a multimeter and a Screwdriver or two.
Trouble is, I only have Wednesday and Thursday to get it sorted.

Maybe, next winter, I will have to give up my garage again.

Stick at it Highside, do things slowly and methodically and you'll get there in the end.

When I had dodgy indicators, I ended up remaking all the connections in the 12N plug, using a new plug. There was a surprising amount of corrosion in there. I suspect that the way the plug stows on the Cruiser (probably other units as well) encourages water to trickle inside with inevitable consequences, unless you have a hitch cover fitted all the time.

Others have suggested that the metal contacts can get slightly deformed so that they don't contact properly (See this thread on the CoC forum).

Either corrosion or bent pins, I'd look very carefully at the 12N plug first. At least the plugs are pretty cheap - if you are near someone who stocks them, of course.

Good luck.

Cheers

Tony

I thought it could well be the plug too, as I get different faults each time I connect. I may well take a spare plug with me, it's worth having one in the camper anyway.
