Dont know where you are but dont go to Ats i work for National tyres they should be able to get you one freephone to your local branch 0800 62 66 66 and if you have had or get a better price anywhere else they shall beat it
Depends on the size of the tyre. My Conway has 155/13 and I have no troubles at all getting tyres, I got two new tyres on Monday and even had a choice!, that's more than I got for my wifes car (peugeot 406).
I dont know where you are based but if you struggle to get a tyre, Dandy's are made by riva leisure im sure they could help you out, the website is www.rivaleisureltd.co.uk
What size are they. Ours are 145/80 10" Radials and Towsure do them. If they are old they may be the old sizes ie:- 5.20 10" Crossply. Change from the Crossply as Radials are safer.
The old ones are mini tyres so they shouldn't have a problem. I'd check to see if they are crossply and change to radials BUT you have to make sure that BOTH tyres on the axle are radials OR crossplys.
Any idea how long they last? Dandy tyres that is. Because our dandy is around 10 years old, we have had it for 7 years and are worrying about the tyres. Not that there looks to be anything wrong with them but just whether they should be changed or how much tread they should have, what pressure they should have etc.
Took a dandy wheel to the local ATS for a new tyre today. They are "workin on it" but don't seem sure they can get one?
Are they a non standard size and has anyone else had problems getting hold of them?
THanks
Nicola
Hi Nicola, I,ve always gone to a local Ifor Williams trailer dealer . I say "always" I,ve only had to go once and it was done there & then. That was almost a year & maybe over 1000 miles ago and everythings fine. My old Dandy had mini wheels and it probally would have been cheaper to visit a scrappy than go to a tyre dealer !!!! Apart from checking the tread and whacking them with a metal bar ( lorry drivers tyre pressure gauge!! ) I never really give tyres a thought ! Naughty I know But I,ve never had any problems.
Regards THUMPER.

We had our old one for 10 years and only changed one tyre which was a crossply to a radial. I got them checked last year and they were OK. The tking that tends to "kill" trailer tyres is being stood in the same position when they develop flat spots or the walls can crack. If storing for a long time try to jack the unit up to take the weight off the wheels. If the tyres are shaded from strong sunlight that also helps.
