Hi all,

Ive added the same factory fitted plinth heater to our 2005 Pathfinder as later models came with as standard. I have this connected to a fuse spur and then run that to the PSU2005 where there is a spare 3 pins on one of the MCUs as it is when fitted by pennine. I purchased a Sargent 2005 fitting kit which came with all the pins and connectors just incase anything needed replacing. I just need to crimp the JST pins to my heater cable to then be able to plug this into the PSU2005.

The problem is I need to purchase the correct crimping tool as the one i have is too small for these JST pins. I tried contacting Sargent but haven't herd back so wandered if anyone on here had done this or knew which crimping tool was required

Have a look at RS Components for crimping tools, I'm sure they'll have the right tool but it's probably extremely expensive if you only intend to do the job once so it may be easier to ask a local electrical or electronics company to crimp the connectors for you.

Thanks Rob, some reason didn't think about asking our electrical engineer guys at work. Whist we dont use the JST pins in our products i did find out i needed a 3mm crimp and managed to get one next day from Amazon for not much money. Everything is all crimped up the cables all run with the heater working perfectly.

Took the time while working on the camper to add two double usb sockets to each side just to make the camper better for family trips
