So, I noticed my Conway Classic has holes in the hinges that appear to line up with holes through the frame, as though designed for pins to secure things in place when unfolded. But there are no pins, and I've not seen anyone ever mention pins.

Have there ever been pins? Can there be pins? Are pins a really bad idea?
