Hi,
I bought the above last year in Spain and drove it to the UK on holiday. Whilst in France the caravan had a blowout and a tyre delamination. The flapping rubber caught the wires from the front of the caravan and ripped them out resultin in having no rear lights. As a temporary measure I fitted a trailer lighting board. I've now started to replace the wire from the front of the caravan to the rear lights with some 7 core wire. The rear lights have me bamboozled. Not difficult as I am in no way an electrician. The rear lights are wired with what looks like domestic wiring but with a black wire with the brown, blue and yellow /green to each light cluster. Can anyone tell me which of the coloured wires should go to which wire from the lights. Any help would be much appreciated. Dave

If there's an auto electrician in your area I would be more than inclined to get a hold of him.

Two ways out of that situation.
1) Try and get a official wiring diagram and follow manufacturers original system, this link may help: https://www.rapidoandsilverownersclub.co.uk/manuals
2) Ignore what's in place and follow the normal colour coding for the tow car socket/plug through to the caravan lights. Socket/plug wiring convention here: https://www.caravanclub.co.uk/globalassets/pdfs/content/advice-and-training/towbar........

With any older van, always a risk that it's been 'worked on' and no longer matches the original manufacturers spec, so wiring may well be a one off custom replacement! Whatever option you chose, you'll have to match the wiring to the plug/socket convention at some point unless you want to risk confusion later on or give someone else a headache trying to fathom how the plug is wired!

Thanks Monty15. I did think about just continuing to the lights with the 7 core wire but was hoping not to disturb the wiring already to the lights. Maybe I'll just bite the bullet and just do that. Thanks for the replies. Can you tell me. Are all the wires (except the white) treated as the live feed to each light?
