Hi we have a new (new to us) Pennine fiesta 1996 trailer tent. It is in really good condition and was extremely well looked after by its previous owner (always dry stored in garage)
However, on the door underneath where the number plate was previously the metal has corroded exposing some of the wood underneath. I am concerned that this will quickly become a big problem. We want to try and save the door so am looking for suggestions of how we can fix it. I have attached pics so the damage can be seen. We are thinking maybe a metal plate stuck over the top and all edges siliconed?
We unfortunately do not have a garage so will be storing outdoors, we are currently looking at getting a winter cover /large tarp for it. In the long term we may invest in a carport for the driveway to keep off most of the water but that will be something we will need to save for. So also any storage ideas for keeping it in the best condition will be greatly appreciated too.
