That's it. A couple of people on the Facebook groups have been trying to get in touch with them, and it now appears to be confirmed that they have gone into administration. Sad day
I'm on a couple of Facebook groups, and a handful of people who have been trying to get in touch with them to no avail say they have now heard from the administrators. It's not just speculation, and not just one person.
I'm not sure what the connection to the reports in 2014 is? They did fold and were bought out by staff who've run it since.
I hope it is a hoax, or a misunderstanding, but I wouldn't have repeated it if I doubted the sources.
Yep it's gone, assuming unless a buyer can be found.
Very niche market especially for new, and very expensive now for what it was.

As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
There is a pdf on Companies House with the details of the administration - basically lack of sales over the last 12 months and no offers to buy the company
Document in question is the Administrators proposals from 3rd Jan
I fear that any form of reincarnation of the brand, again, will be short lived.

I think it fair to say the company is totally defunct, and no longer exists in any form other than it would appear the 'Goodwill' aspect! It's certainly not in a simple change of owners and resume production situation!
Having read the above document, it was clear it was operating at a tenuous level with little scope for what should be considered normal market fluctuations, a 'hand to mouth' existence. That market history does not paint a rosy picture for anyone reviving the brand/products as they have been known in the past.
Not sure anyone should be hopeful that we'll be seeing the like again. Could simply be the product has had it's time, and the marketplace has moved on.
What's a possibility is someone providing spares/repairs for existing units though, but that's speculation, acquiring a company's 'Goodwill' is not always intent to use it, it can be a tactic to stop rival businesses acquiring and benefiting from it, in effect, burying it stone dead!
Time will tell, and if and when it happens, the disclosure of the 'Goodwill' purchaser may give better clues to the brand/products future if it has any.
"Pennine Outdoor Leisure went into Administration on 14th November 2024. We are unable to honour any warranties or repairs as the manufacturing business no longer existings.
The brand names however have been acquired by The Ace Supply Company Limited and we are working to honour the heritage and quality of these brand names, through the development of new products.
More information will be available as these ranges develop."
