Can any offer any Experience, Hints,Results On how to repair a broken bathroom wash basins complete folding panel that has 2 x small steel flimsy hinges at the lower edge that have broken and almost impossible to reach even with everything stripped out. I would love to know how to do this job if possible.
Also are they replacement hinges available anywhere ?
Dose any one know any modifications that can be made ?
I would ask at Blue Sky who refurb campers.
If anyone would have the knowledge it's probably them.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!

Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Thank you, It most likely is not a very common problem judging by the lack of coverage on the internet as a whole.
Thanks again and I will contact them.
I've just recently repaired the mine, but luckily the hinge itself wasn't damaged - the screws had just ripped out from the wall.
Like you say, getting to them is almost impossible. There's a video here of a guy who repaired his, but to be honest it seemed way more work than I was prepared to go through:

Luckily, those type of hinges rotate 360 degrees, so rather than trying to fix it in between the sink surround and the wall, I just rotated the wall side one by 180 degrees. This means it's actually now visibile inside the cubicle area. I needed to use new piece of 1" x 2" 6mm ply to fix it to. After painting it white, it doesn't look bad by any means.
It looks like your hinge is still intact, so you could consider doing the same.
AFAIK those hinges were custom made by Pennine, which of course are in administration and Ace Leisure is still in the process of deciding what to sell.
If you do need to replace the hinges completely, you could try these which are very similar (and are MUCH stronger):

The main difference with the Amazon ones is they are not permentantly fixed together. If you fix them tight enough together however, this shouldn't be an issue - and actually might make maintenence easier in the future. But you could always buy four of them, and either bolt or rivet them together.
Thank you for replying
Sadly the other hinge is seized broken and twisted. I dont think ide mind seeing a painted piece of ply so im thinking i could make a cranked hinge identical to the pennine one.
However im not as lucky as you as i sheared the wall screws ( both ) trying to remove them.
Im really surprised what a poor idea and method pennine use to fabricate the entire folding hinges that obviously worked but seem a very flimsy way to support the polycarbonate moulded basin unit and the MDF back panel.
Your sugested cure seems the way to go so thanks for your input.
