Hi all heading away this weekend.. Weather doesn't look great..... I have a folding campervan... I know I can cook on the hobs but the smell etc and mess puts me off... Always I cook outside.. I only put up awning if away more than 3 days so I will use the decathlon dining tent... Just wondering if it's raining can I cook in it?.. Maybe with 2 doors open?

We use an electric double ring hob. Cheap to buy and save to use inside as it's electric. No gas needed saves us a lot of money in gas as we pay for electric pitches anyway so may as well use it.
In the past we have used a gas hob in side a utility tent with no ground sheet in with doors open.

Only ever tent camped, cooked inside for many years with gas/Coelman fuel.

As long as the space is well ventilated and there is no heat source near the fabric no reason not to. Howver as you have electric use that instead.

We have a fire blanket to hand. Even on electric, something can overheat if you forget about it. Takes little space or weight, didn’t cost much at Arco.

Have a mini fire extinguisher... Ya I suppose if one can cook on the hob in the kitchen space in the campervan I xan cook in the dining tent... Thabks for all the replies... If I figure out how to post the video I will...
