I know one or two of you wonderful people may be able to help, gush, gush!!

We are going to pick up our neew Pathfinder on June 23rd and so have been looking at insurance (Busy reading past threads).

Now the insurance firm we are thinking of going with wants to know the name of the hitchlock we are using.  However, this is an item we have yet to buy so I wondered what was the best one to get and what sort (Seems there are different types).

There are loads around as you have found out, make sure what you do buy is insurance approved. One example is the Milenco (http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/articles/view.asp?id=41) which has the Sold Secure approval stamp, which means it's insurance approved.

S.A.S wheel clamps.

these are a good wheel clamp . have got one of these and they come in a plastic box for storage . they clamp around the wheel by means of an allen key inside the clamp and over a wheel nut and then a lock goes into the hole where the allen key is so as they can't be removed.

I had a milenco hitch lock. We lost the key it took less tha three mins to break it off. most of that was thinking time. I now have a bulldog.

done it .. if you get one DON'T lose the key because i like to think it would take a lot longer to get off..

they also do them for different size wheels.
