We currently have a Wynnster satellite 12 (for when all the kids and their friends camp with us) and a Sunncamp Holiday 250 TT (which we use most of the time) but we have been offered a folding caravan - the pop-up sort, which stands about 5' tall before unfolding.

I don't know yet what make it is - we are going to view it at the weekend, but wondered if any of you clever people on here have any experience of these things and know what we should consider/look for when we go to inspect it.

We tried a caravan for one season and loved it, but the neighbours were less than pleased about it being on the drive, so the folding caravan will probably be kept on a site and used at weekends.

Any advice would be appreciated - sorry for being vague.

Snowy

Thanks Mike.  I don't think this one folds as low as yours - he gave the impression that it stands about 5 feet high, but the roof then lifts.  It has a double bed on one side and a single on the other.  He's ringing me back on Friday to give me the make/model and directions.

Thanks for the offer of help - you are local too - I live in Runcorn and work in Warrington.

We used to have an Eriba......... my tip for a first viewing is.........remember the low door when entering and exiting       you do get used to it very quickly though    but I have seen conventional caravanners misjudging it & walking away bruised & cursing

Thanks for the warning, but as I'm only feet feet tall, I'll probably still not have a problem, although the rest of the family will :-)
