Can anyone help me with a question about spare wheels for my sunncamp 400. (why is a spare wheel an option anyway !!!)
I am trying to source a spare wheel for my trailer tent before I go off to france. However I don't know much about the wheels other than its size which is 145/10
Towsure do a spare wheel and tyre for £30 but I am not sure if it is the right size, It is 4 stud, but what does 4" PCD mean. I also now know that the tyre is Crossply "LOAD 4PR Nylon Cord Load 315kg..etc...etc"
I have been quoted over £50 for a wheel to fit the trailer by my local sunncamp dealer, which seems very pricey.
Pcd is the distance diagonally between wheel stud centres.if you measure between them it will give you your pcd.I think Towsure sell sunncamp, why not give them a ring and let them work it out for you
TY10 is a 13 inch rim, my suncamp has a 10 inch wheel, the nearest I can see in the catalogue is ty14
Trailer Wheel (145x10 /4ply Silver) Tyre Specification - All tyres are "E" marked, have 4 stud fixing with 4" PCD. 145 x 10" 4 ply tubeless tyre, Silver rim, Max load 315kg at 2.2 BAR. 500 x 10" 4 ply tubeless tyre, White rim, Max load 792lbs/360kg at 40PSI/2.75 BAR. TY14
Hi there ,if i remember my engineering,PCD means pitch circle diameter, which is the diameter of a circle drawn through the centre of your wheel holes.
The PCD is usually in mm and also gives how many holes are drilled on this line (or studs on the line) ie 4 x 100 is 4 holes drilled through the centre of an imaginary 100mm circle
wow gave myself a sore head now
hope this helps, and if you understand it,write it down and send the explanation back to me lol
