We have a Pennine Pathfinder and it isn't cold or draughty at all.  We use an electric fan heater in the main unit at night and have a mobile gas heater for the awning (it heats the main unit as well if the door is open!).

As long as you peg the awning down properly you shouldn't have any problems at all.

As said before Dandy's are great.

We were at Ayr the week before Easter - the gazebo pole bent with the wind but we were warm in the Dandy. We did use a small blow heater to keep the chill off, but we think it is much better than a tent, and easier to tow than a caravan. See our pictures for an idea of size etc.
