Welcome to the site, The best thing to do is at the top of the page click onto campsite search then type in the area you fancy. You will hopefully get people recommending places to you also.
Try Glossop or buxton or Sheffield area, although my family are from Manchester we haven't tried any site around that area so I can't really recommend anywhere.
Although I'm Welsh I haven't done much holidaying in Wales (shame on me )so can't really suggest anywhere in the area you're looking at but if you look in the Camp Site Search section it will give you an idea of whats out there.
We are a brood of 5 as well and we have found a company called Park Resorts. They have loads of sites all over the UK including one just outside Rhyl. They are just like Haven sites, loads on them for the kids and adults but they are cheap as well. We have booked for one in Suffolk and a fortnight with electrics and all passes has cost us £314 for all 5 of us. The web-site is www.park-resorts.com and you will find everything you need on that site.
Otherwise check out the reviews on this site - there is nothing better than people's experiences to guide you.
Fantastic, we are from Manchester and have just arrived back from Clitheroe, Edisford bridge. That was our first time with our TT, and 4 children. Great site really clean and near Manchester. Booked it online through the caravan and camping club, cost £35.00 to join, but we paid £30.00 for direct debit. If all campsites I go on are this clean and well maintained, its money well spent. We opted for the biggest pitch available with electric hookup, day-tent, and picked the family deal. Worked out £15.00 a night, and thats with a 10 month baby, hard work but brilliant.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
