it is with great regret that i have to sell my pathfinder (minty). last sunday my mum suddenly passed away at the age of 51.exactly a yr ago i lost my 30 yr old brother and my grandad and with mum and dad having a tough yr they replaced theyre old static with a new one to spend more time together now mum has passed knowing how much she loved her caravan dad has asked us to sell our camper and spend more time with him at the caravan. if anyone knows anyone whos interested in buying a camper dont hesitate to ask.it was bought in dec (i think) 04 and has everything ud need just to up and go it needs a small repair which caseys r going to do under the warranty.
why dont you get your dad to come with you? and take it in turns of your place or ours sort of thing, it might help your dad, as he will have his retreat to think about your mum but it could help to lift him, going somewhere else. i wouldnt rush into things just yet hang onto it for another 6 months al least, when someone passes we all do and say things that we realise later on where nt for the best. i have been down this road recently and learnt this the hard way. i would go with your dad a few times and see how he is, and then take him with you inyour fc some where different, then nest year think about selling it if that what you all really want to do. he may decide that the static is holding to many memories for him that he cant bear, and then sell it
so sad for your loss, your family have had a rough time havent they.
no mary not advertised elsewere yet i know its soon but pointless having a camper in one camp and a brand new static over the road from it and it is dad whos asked so he must feel very strong about it. no rizzo wasnt heart she found out she had an illness in her lungs just after my brother died and needed a lung transplant but she never got that far and she said for the last year she didnt want intervening she just wanted to b made comfortable and let to go with my brother and even the hour before she died she still refused to be ventilated. a very strong woman was my mum she knew exactly what she wanted and we made sure we went with her wishes
....must have been so hard for you Jo. I decided to sell our pathfinder last year as we just weren't getting the use out of it - 7.5k's a lot of money to sit about plus storage as it wouldn't go in garage and we have a static too which we all got a lot out of, kids love it as its nearly on the beach at Tywyn nr Aberdovey and my mum uses it as a bit of a bolthole too - Stephen went thru a bad patch too healthwise and never loved camping, so it went, its just me and this bloomin camping bug....
sold mine with a buy now price on ebay fairly easily - took 2 goes if I remember rightly, and local papers too are good - give us a wave next time you're at the van......
we had a phone call thurs night from my mums camp site owners to say the static had been burgled and 3 youths were still in it after using it as a base whilst they went on a spree they were caught at thankfully we have cleaned the caravan so its back to normalhad only buried mum the friday b4 and had to deal with all this. just wondering when all this crap is gonna end. anyway just waiting for dad to collect me and the camper as its off to caseys just hope someone enjoys it as much as we did even if we only had it for a short time
