Can anyone help???

We have a avignon 6 and are new to camping after 2 weeks camping had problems with the mud flaps not being low enough to the ground.When windy and raining water poured in under the tent.Any ideas what we did wrong?

I am not quite sure..the tensioning straps at the ground seemed taut but who knows....!thanks
