I purchased my TT today and was so proud that I towed home alone (husband working and not into towing!!) I then found a great farm to park and store my TT (husband meet me there) I was so determined to reverse and finish the job. He said he would do it for me but NO I wanted to do it myself! Jack knifed just once but got it in the space - wonderful you might think, filled up with petrol on the way home and noticed the damage to bumper, one large dent and one hole - but I did it ALONE!
We usually put our trailer tent in near enough good position and then unhitch and push - it's so light it's hardly any bother and more hassle trying to reverse I think.
Sometimes you get it right, and sometimes you get it wrong. Quite often I can reverse the FC reasonably well, but it often goes all over the place, and I have been doing it for almost 20 years. It's plain to see that you are doing something right. I hope the damage is repairable. All the best in future, it just take a little practice and a grounding in the principles.
