I have a 1993 Conway Clipper trailer tent and I am confused as to what the tyre pressures should be.
I have small tyres 400/400.8 marked on the walls. 33psi is marked on the trailer body above the wheels, the handbook says 45psi and garages say 25-30psi.
When buying new tyres are some more suitable than others for trailer tents?

I just found this quoted from a post on there a while ago:
400 x 8 crossply pre 88 45psi (cold) 3.1 bar
400 x 8 crossply 91, 92, 93 33 psi 2.3 bar
400 x 8 crossply 94 on 55 psi 3.8 bar
It looks like your instruction book is not quite up to date.
I doubt you will find a lot of choice in tyres but it can be more economical to buy wheel and tyre complete from someone like Towsure rather than pay a local tyre merchant a fitting charge, disposal charge, etc. You would need to check the wheel size is OK if going this route. Metric and imperial sizes are not quite the same (ie I don't believe 100mm and 4" PCD wheels are interchangeable).
The Camping and Caravanning Club has a useful leaflet on tyres, available on their website.
