Can anyone suggest a good breakdown cover that covers as many aspects as possible.
My friend is with green flag (mayday cover) she says that its the only one that takes you, your trailer and passengers to your destination and takes you home again after your holiday is over. She also says you have to be a member of the caravan club not the caravan and camping club, who we are with. Can anybody enlighten me as to whether she is right .
if you are members of the caravan and camping club , if you join rac, ask for"arrival-campingand caravan club"you get cover with no weight or other restrictions, cost me about£120 for myself, and my wife, covers us for any car we are driving or traveling in, cant comment on there service as havnt had to call them yet.
We are with the Caravan Club just to get the breakdown cover. We save enpugh on that alone to more than pay the club membership. We are in the C&CC as we camp at their sites but the RAC cover was more expensive. So far we've not needed to test Green Flag (touching wood as I write this!).
We have looked into quite a few now and they all seem to offer the same apart from the different prices.
When we were at our last holiday we did notice that the family pitched next to us stayed for a week after breaking down on the way and were collected on their day of departure by a pickup truck. Does anybody know of any companys that offers this?
Why do you have to join the caravan club? The cover that green flag offer directly from their website doesnt look any different to the mayday cover offered by the caravan club and its £4 dearer without joining the club.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
