Reports welcome on camsites in N W Yorkshire with EHU near a good pub and welcome dogs.

Hi Kate - we stayed a couple of years ago at a site in North (rather than NW) Yorkshire called St Helens in the Park at Wykeham, they take dogs, have different parts of the site catering for different needs, and if I remember right there's a pub within a few minutes (i.e.5) walk.It was clean and well managed. It's fine for reaching the Yorkshire Dales, York etc, and is featured on UKCS Campsite search. Worth checking out the more recent reviews.

we've just spent the last two weekends at Riverside caravan and camp site in higher bentham which is only just in west yorks although its nearer to lancaster.Its a lovely site with the best toilet block i,ve ever seen.Its got great walks nearby and its within walking distance to a pub that allows dogs and children and didnt have to be out at nine o'clock on the dot.The play area is on a hillside though so not so good if you've got young children.Mine are 5 and 9 so its safe.Overall its a lovely spot on the river for a relaxing break.
