My husband and I are considering buying a trailer tent and we were bowled over by the Cabanon Jupiter tent that we saw at our local camp shop. It looked so spacious and light inside and we liked the fact that you could move the front panel back and forth depending on how much indoor room you wanted. The £3000 price tag (new) can't be taken lightly and if we decide to buy one we will almost certainly opt for a second hand one. Could some of you Jupiter owners give us your opinion of your tent as we would love a bit of inside info before we make a decision. We camp every year and hope to do so for at least another ten years.

It is a lovely tent, but we have a Cabanon Galaxy whichis slightly smaller (tho' not much) & the awning can be a bit tricky as there is a lot of canvas to get up, so I imagine the Jupiter would be even more difficult even tho' the awning comes in two pieces.

Re: a second hand one, the Jupiter was new out last year, so there won't be many around.

JUst recently bought cabanon jupiter, so we have only done a week end in it so far.  Found it was like our old 6 berth frame tent in as much as once you put it up a few times it will become easier.  We also like the fact that there was bags of space and moveable front panel.  Have not found anything that we do not like about it, and are looking forward to going away again next week end.  If you have any questions give us a shout and we will try and answer them for you.

Hi Ellie
We have the Saturn DL which we only bought earlier this year, so can't comment on the Jupiter but can say that we love ours to bits. Ours comes with two awnings which we use if we are going away for more than 4 days (there are 3 of us) and it does take sometimes all three of us to help but that might be because we aren't very adept yet. We only use the 2.5m awning if we are away for weekends. We find there is plenty of space for all of us with both awnings for two weeks away, plus we have the utility annexe for our loo/storage.
Have fun
