my pa has a fabia estate and you have to actally cut a small section out of the bottom of the bumper at the centre, also to have a towbar fitted you have to follow certain guide lines you ask if the bolts that hold the tow ball onto the towbar framework have to be a certain torque .they do and much more importantly they have to be high tensile bolts that can take the high demands that you yucking half a ton of trailer about demand! get this bit wrong and you are in deep do do .to be honest go to one of the specalist places like towsure and they will fit it while you wait for about £120 not bad for peace of mind, if you buy one from an unknown source maybe secondhand you do not know the history of the towgear it may have been in an accident and could be from a write off(worst case scenario) also tow ball regiulations changed in i think it was 1998 so before that you could fit any old towball after the cut off date all towballs had to be c.e. approved and fitting a older type on your vehicle could if you had an accident regarding your tow gear could render your insurance void,sorry to scare you but you should be aware of the facts before you decide
