you can get it proofed by a company, but i'd do it myself.
if you are to do it then "fabsil" is the recommended, but get the brush on variety.

how old is your tt?

Is the TT two years old, or is it older and you have had it for two years? I'm just surprised that it needs reproofing after only two years. Is this what most people do?

I'd rather be camping

sorry to hijack the thread but I got my TT from ebay recently and the owners advised to waterproof it - how long would this take as I don't have room to open it up at home and the weather is a bit random to say the least!

the tt is 3 yrs old now ....weve been camping about 9 times over the two years weve had it with no leaks .....

when we bought it we were advised to reproof it every couple of years just to keep it like new so just thought i should look after it.

HI................. use Fabsil, and buy a 1½- 2litres flower mist sprayer, when you spray next to windows ,,,,hold a piece of cardboard to protect windows from the Fabsil. Let dry completly before closing.

henning .................

have to say that every 2 years is a bit excessive. out frame tent is 6 years old and we just proofed that. it's had about 100 nights, but we had to wash it with a soft brush hence the need for proofing.

If it isn't leaking I wouldn't bother.  My TT is 4 years old and I've had no problems, although it has only been used 5 times and 4 of those were in France.

What I have done is bring a tin of spray to fix the leaking area if it did happen, but it never did.

All in the past now probably as I am awaiting delivery of my new motorhome.

I did mine (when I had it) with a garden weed sprayer. mine was an old one, and I did it for peace of mind. I wouldn't think that it would need doing yet, but it's up to you
