Hi there all

Unfortunately after 20 years and 3 owners my Pennine Clubman awning is in need of some professional help (but then aren't we all !), so am off to TVS of Bolton.

At the same time I was wondering about having a zip fitted from the door, along the side and then back down again.  An idea pinched straight from the Pennine Pathfinder and Conway Clubman models.

Has anyone tried to do this before ? Any precautions that spring to mind ?

Obviously I shall ask TVS their opinion, but I thought that with all the guys and girls on here, someone must have tried this before.

Thanks for all your help.

Maurice

Last weekend we assembled our new to us clubman awning for the first time. Firstly as we had no assembly instructions we discovered many poles left over after we got it up.

Does anyone know where we can get hold of an assembly plan?

& secondly we discovered that when trying to open & close the main door when the canvas was wet it seemed to temporarily shrink therefore making it very difficult to shut the door once u reach the part 2/3rds down where the canvas changes colour. Any hints or suggestions greatfully received!

Have you by chance got 5 poles extra, including one that looks a little like a boomerang ?

If so then these poles go through a sleeve in the awning at the top, nearest the camper body itself.  The 5 cross members with hooks in the end go into the camper frame and the plastic cup type connectors attach to the poles in the sleeve at the top of the awning.

The end result is a pretty sturdy frame.

Good Luck.

Maurice
