being lazy and would like to know what is the best TT you can get, have been looking at the Combicamp but is there better ? only 3 of us but it do like quality & ease of use
Ooooooo Kieran you must wanting to start a war. Penine/Conway are leading the field in TTs and FCs. We used a Combicamp for a couple of seasons a few years ago and found it quick to erect but if we used the awning it added nearly an hour to our 'set up' time.

------------- Treat the earth well. It was not given to you by your parents. It was loaned to you by your children.
Try these... www.rivaleisureltd.co.uk They dont rot at the 1st sign of damp. They can be packed wet indefinatley. They are tough as old boots & will give years/decades of service. They are not mass produced & any Dandy of any age can be sent back to the factory for any bespoke alterations you require.
Get over the PVC hangups (like I did TBH) & you,ll never return to a canvas unit again !! OK they may not have the "plush" furnishings as others , but they are built to last a hard life. A bonus if you have kids.
They are also reconised by the CC which also opens up a lot of sites if you so wish. The solid sides & proper locking door also help in security. I,d personally never go back to canvas again. I,m not the only Dandy convert on here either. Most people who bad mouth them have never tied them. They are definatley worth a look.
Go on you wont be disapointed.......

for quality & ease i think the cabonons are one of the best ,for quick erecting its the raclet solena, & would suite 3 people, also the comanches & combi camps are all great very quick to erect.
We were camping with friends this weekend (who were using their caravan for the first time) and there were some definate envious looks, especially with the space, the quality, the ease of erection and the time it took us to pack away - they were ages messing with there awning and still didn't get it up!
A rolls royce has character and is original, a one off as well as been a luxury item in own right.... Also because with quality items the after sales care is also rather special......Conways and pennines therefore are too commonplace so are disqualified........Also I doubt, (I may be wrong please correct me if so), you could not ring up the dealers and ask them to incorporate this design of shelves that you have just thought of....
Dandy Destiny as it has all mod cons............. And it has bags of character too....
Plus with Dandy's as with Rolls Royce you get individual treatment at the factory so they will do bespoke alterations so many Dandies are unique editions.
Bags of character and practicality go also to the Camplet top notch is it the royale and of course the Combi with kingsize bed.......
Seriously though we are all have our likes and dislikes. But can I just say the makers of Dandy's look after their customers in a way I find completely amazing.. even if you did not buy your dandy from them. Please excuse me sounding off yet again but it is so unusual these days to be looked after so well it is a shock.
Firstly let me just clarify the fact that a Combicamp is a Folding camper, as are The Dandy and Pennine ranges. The epitome of these are the Pennine Pathfinder. Also owned and manufactured by Pennine is the Conway group who also produce a similarly fitted out Cruiser. The Dandy (Riva) product is called Destiny and instead of canvas they are made of plastic.
Please note no opinion....... Just note my name.......
sorry but have to disagree there pp -a combicamp is a trailer tent as all thats inside is a sleeping area.....folding campers have an all inclusive kitchen at least if not wardrobes, toilets and running water - newer combis have a fancy kitchen but even that is permanently outside attached to the back of the trailer which you can choose to cover with an awning of varying sizes.....just like all the other trailer tents bonus being of course that the main unit is up in seconds and needs no pegging (the only thing it has in common with a folding camper!)
ps not suggesting that they are the rolls royce either though but are basic but well made and simple - I can go off on my own with the kids and know I'll manage quite easily without depending on help.....
