I have just bought a brand new Cabanon Jupiter DL and plan to use it next week for the first time. The seller advised that I need to put it up and let it go through a couple of wet then dry cycles to ensure maximum waterprooing. Is this really needed or can I just go for it and expect the odd drip first time it gets wet?
All that you are doing is allowing the canvas to shrink very slightly and seal up the needle holes around the stitching,if you have room put the tent up and spray lightly with a garden hose, allow to dry and do it again, its suprising how quickly a soaked cabanon canvas dries,we didn't do our cabanon before we went away, tipped it downand it didn't leak around the seams, etc.Hope this helps.
it will not leak just take go and enjoy my first trip was in april this year and and it tiped it down all weekend and it stayed dryed when the sun came out it was amazing how fast the canvas dryed concratulations on buying the best tt on the market
