Quick question - I seem to recall reading somewhere that the battery should be removed from the folding camper over winter - something about the gasses released from the battery affecting the canvas, but can't remember details.
Can anyone shed any light on this? Do I need to remove the battery?
Thanks
Paul

Sorry cant recall the thread but would agree about it being a good idea, but try not to store it on the ground or on concrete as I have also heard that can be damaging.
Also a good idea to give it a full charge every couple of months or so just to keep it it tip top condition.

we always remove it but should think that if you have addequate ventilation where it is then perhaps you could leave it
But we always remove ours

Doesn't the battery need to be taken out so you can charge it up regularly over the winter so it doesn't go flat?

We do, don't know if we need to. My dad is paranoid we don't stand it on concrete too (I don't know if that is an old husband tale or not) so it goes on the workbench in the garage and gets charged a couple of times.------------- Good friends are hard to find, difficult to leave and impossible to forget.
