I'm desparate to buy a tt (preferably new) although in reality I would not use until next spring. When would be the best time to buy? My heart is saying get one now but my head is saying wait until next year. Does anyone know if tt dealers do good deals this time of year or are they happy just to keep any stock they have got until next year.
It seems some dealers can hold old year models in stock for quite a bit. Also I assume spring time is a high demand/busy time for selling tt. Does it make any difference buying in the spring?
I'd be grateful for people's experiences eg deals, how long they had to wait for a factory order etc.
You may be able to pick up a few good deals with a bit of haggling and negotiating with dealers over their available stock before the new next years stock arrives.
I'm sure that they do not want to be burdened with holding old stock...........
It will really depend on what you want, another option would be to search for a second hand bargain, normally from someone who purchased a TT say at the beginning of this year and just dosn't like camping, seen a few of these around.
We wasn't sure when to buy either but decided to do it now while there were some good deals about. Also we thought that next years models may be more expensive.
Need to talk to my local dealers and will keep my eyes peeled for nearly new second hand models although right at this moment my head is winning the argument and I might wait until next year. C'mon heart!
We have always bought our stuff at the end of the season when most people have had enough of the camping scene. There are massive discounts in the winter. The spring is the worse time to buy as everybody is getting ready for the season, and the prices go up.
We had hoped to bag a bargain at the end of the season on a small FC. Sold our T T. Sadly no one has the unit we are looking for so will leave it for this year and look next year. Hope peeps can get some bargains...... Lol got some bargains on tents which my daughter has already said is her festival tent for next year
lots of bargains to b had if you are buying now, dealers are doing sales with xtras ....some great pre owned bargains out there too .prices increase in spring for the new season
If you want a new one you should go to the show at NEC and buy one there. You normally get the awning and a few other extras thrown in as they are keen to fill their order books for the coming season. If you accept delivery in January or February it does them a big favour. Whatever you do, don't wait until Spring as that's the time of most demand and you may find it difficult to get what you want.
hi if u have got the cash then you can really drive the price down at the end of the season my brother just bought a second handcaravan from a dealer he got it for £3360 the price on the window was £4900 so if you have the cash go for it now just get somwhere to dry store it over winter hp campin
