....can I come in? Today I have just bought a trailer tent on Ebay. Bought completely blind as it was a new seller, no information on the listing at all really, and no photo but have just spoken to the chap and I think we have done okay. It's a Conway Corniche and we got it for £150. Has the underbed tents and the full awning and the chap says its in good condition. We are picking it up Friday.
So, what do I need to know about TT's then? We have a tent (or two) at the moment but my DH has been hankering after a TT since last Summer.
You are very welcome. Make sure you see the tent up before you part with any cash to make sure it's all there and in one piece. Especially check the canvas for mildew etc, and if it gets wet in the process make sure it has chance to dry before packing away for any lenght of time.
We had a Corniche for about 15 years. Wonderful unit, if the one you are after is ok it should give you years of good service.
If you need a manual let me know as I scanned mine and would be happy to send you a copy.
If you need specific help with conway units you could do worse than look on the conway owners club site. They are all very friendly thete with a wealth of knowledge.

Amanda
your car needs a towbar.
Damn. Knew there was something I'd forgotten. We are going to pick up the TT this morning, my DH has to work this afternoon and is not happy as he wanted to set the TT up. Like that's going to be possible in this wind, it's blowing a flipping gale here today
TT's are one of the best ways to camp got a Conway Royale Myself and its great even in rough weather. As someone else has said for specific conway info you can't do better than http://www.conwayowners.org.uk/
