I am thinking of buying a Sunncamp Vario 600 Plus this season having made do with my faithful Khyam Rigidome for 5 seasons. Just wondered what the dimensions of the storage bag is. Anyone know? I want to get tent into a long narrow roof box so I may put 3 bikes plus roof box on the roof. Don't want to buy and tow a trailer.

Any recommendations of long narrow roofboxes and Vario 600 + are appreciated.

Thanks

try looking at www.roofbox.co.uk for roofboxes.  Wouldn't like to put my tent on the roof though.  I have a large box but the max load up on my roof is 100kg (which is a lot compared to most) by the time you've knocked off 20kg for the bars and box that's 80.  If you put the tent up there the load will be in one place rather than spread around.  I put the lighter stuff like pillows, clothes, chairs, windbreak etc in the top box and leave the tent in the boot!

Thanks Kate. I put my current tent in my roofbox, which is a medium wide box. Tent weighs about 30kg. Can only get one bike up there with medium wide roof box but weight should be OK. New tent will be 40kg and box should take 50kg. I just don't like the idea of towing and am trying to justify expense of new roofbox vs trailer. Boot is full up with fridge and food containers. Take your point though that may be better to put pillows and sleeping bags etc up top in future. Got last roofbox from roofbox.co.uk and received excellent service so will return there for new roofbox.
