Following the disappointment of the last two year's events being cancelled due to wet ground conditions, we're delighted to advise that the Elvaston Steam Rally is back for 2026! This year has a new venue and will be held near the lovely Elvaston Castle in Derbyshire on the site of the Derbyshire County Show across the road from the old venue. It offers two days of events on the weekend of July 4th and 5th 2026. You can also camp on site from Friday 3rd afternoon to Monday 6th morning.
Let us just start off by saying despite the name this is not just a steam rally, so don't let that put you off if you're not into it! It's a great fun weekend, and a chance for a cheap weekend's camping with masses to do!
The all inclusive advanced price of £70 covers 2 adults and all children under 16 years and saves £25 on the gate price. Sadly there is no discount for single campers this year. Extra adult tickets must be paid for in advance at a cost of £20.
Advance camping bookings close on Saturday 13th June, so please return the form to arrive by that date to take advantage of these special rates.

Hello Amanda, good to hear from you and thank you for your support.
The entrance to the camping field is closer to the Borrowash end or further from the Elvaston end depending on which way you come! The camping area will be clearly signposted from the lane to trust that. It won't be your usual entrance.
It is likely that there won't be a specific generator field as there are now so few generators, most have gone over to solar panels.
I am no longer in a position to arrange camping or the decisions taken but please know I will help where I can should there be any questions.
You won't be in the same fields as previously and won't be using the same entrance so please follow the signs. I wouldn't want you to come face to face with a 10 ton steamroller which may not be able to move out of your way!
Just a quick update for those looking to attend, advanced Booking closes on 13/06/2026, and if you miss this you can still turn up and pay on the gate but you will pay the full rate of £95.00
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
