we went to the southport meet and also had a great time. met some new camping buddies, was wet and cold but thats all part of the fun.
bbq and quiz was good on sat and the weather stayed ok at night. its true the pink stuff is fabulous!!!!!!!!!!! thanks for letting us try a bit
the site wasn't much cop though especially for us tenters. we met some great people who were also in tents but unfortunatly didn;t get chance to get to know any others cos tents were so far away from the caravaners. once children were put to bed the main meet site was too far away to come back too so we had our own mini-meet in our tent. had great time, its just a shame that we were so seperate.
hope to meet some of the others on futere meets.
how can i get the password for the piccies??
eunice
p.s hi to foxy, mrs R, megawoman and moonseeker, oh and camping nutcase!!! thanks for a great weekend
just looked at my a-z that had saved on computer. no password, just says see omega on site. we forgot to ask him for it. he did give us another a-z while we where there. would it have been on that?, it got wet so i threw it in the bin.
any ideas how to get the password without putting my email on the net for all the world too see?
Back from the meet and absolutely knackered. Warmed up a lot since then though. Met lots of really lovely people and made some lasting friendships.
The scavanger hunt for the kids was a brilliant idea and the quiz was really great too so well done to Omega for the organisation.
I think that if the whole meet had of been at a different site, one that was child friendly, tent friendly, reasonably priced chip shop, decent opening hours for shop etc... I think we would have enjoyed it a whole lot more. I must say though, one positive point about the site, the toilets & showers were very nice, clean, warm and plentiful.
Thanks again Omega, look forward to seeing you all again at Penrith. We will be able to mix together there....won't we??
Wanted to add a special thank you to oois25 & Graham, Foxy 04 & Steve, Megawoman and Moonseeker and family for a great weekend, despite the freezing weather. Special thanks oois25 & Graham for letting us use your lovely warm tent for our get together.
Your back, did you get lost on way back? Could you drive off ok with out getting stuck
No, didn't get lost although found ourselves coming back through the old tunnel! 70 miles it was, a bit shorter than through the new tunnel. No, we didn't get stuck.

PS as you had 6 on board do they travel side on, and do you have belts? Ment to ask you just for chance we want to carry extra passengers
There were 5 of us. The rear dinette has seat belts on the forward facing seats but not on the rear facing one, so one sits behind me facing backwards without a belt. I don't let them use the sideways on seats at the back in case of rear end shunts.

If you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel, just keep going till you go round the bend.
