Hi Well we are back van unpacked washing done, ironing done and bath had and pj's on. all that in 3 hours wowwww lol.
I would just like to say thanks to SAM and GRANT excellent meet, well done you have survived hosting your first meet. Whens the next one .
Despite the rain showers we had a ball.
It was nice to meet all the newbies who came on the meet and it was excellent that most joined in round the camp fire and the birthday picnic .(Even if we had to run for cover half way through to the marquee).
We was just about the last to leave and Terry looked like billy no mates in his corner but someone had to do it (as he said)
I would also like to thank Allan for the yummy cakes he supplied excellent Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Thanks Sam and Grant for arranging such a great meet. Site was lovely and even the weather wasn't too bad apart from when we were packing up on Sunday! Singing songs round the campfire will take some beating.
Claire - thanks for the pink
Robyn - thanks for letting us nosy round your tent (I want one)
Elaine and Kay - sorry the kids kept you awake!!
Caz and Colin - thanks for all the laughs and I'm looking forward to the photos!!

------------- If life gives you lemons throw them at someone :)
Thanks to everyone for making this a really enjoyable weekend.
Sorry I didnt come round and say bye to everyone, but the handbrake on the van decided to give up and we had to quickly get it onto the car. Thanks Trevor for towing it off for us.
Alan, thanks for the yummy cakes.
Cas, the coaster was still on the windowsill when we got home.LOL
Many thanks to Sam and Grant for a brilliant weekend - my first meet and I really enjoyed it.
Angie - not a problem with the kids honest - you got wet packing up too - thought you said you were going to post that your tent was dry hehehe - weather here has been awful today - got up this morning to a flooded garden and now have the central heating on!!!!!
Claire - thanks for the pink
Sorry we didnot get round to say bye to everyone but got rather wet packing up!!
Still drying out and finding mud in bizarre places on the kids. Thanks for entering into the spirit of things - it was great to meet so many new faces, and familar ones too (wont say old!! after all those birthday's!!). I especially liked chatting with people round the campfire and the musical entertainment.
Big thanks to Claire for all the moral support, and Mr H for being so accomodating! (yummy choclate cake!!).
My learning point of the weekend has to be that its important that the host of any UKCS meet forgets something really vital for camping so that everyone else can feel really smug that they would never do such a thing as forgetting the TENT POLES. In 20 years of camping i have never done that before and i don't think i'll be forgetting it in a hurry!
Well, I finally got around to it. Thanks to Sam and Grant for a great meet and Mr H for the truly sinful chocolate cake, which I shouldn't have eaten, but did!
It was great to meet my wonderful neighbours Emma and Paul, despite their apartment block overshadowing my little tent, (joking really Emma) and Emma's sister Beth for a great evening of stimulating conversation. The kids were lovely too, thank you, Libby, Grace, George and George's sister (who's name escapes my addled pate at the moment) for making me feel every one of my too many years!
It was also lovely to meet Rich and Caz, Claire, Robyn and everyone else, I really had a great time at a great site and the rain was just a minor inconvenience.
Just do summat about the lack of flags for next time!
