Yes it will be busy there and the weather dubious as it always is but is there anyone up for a meet in / around Keswick at the end of July or start of August. Having visited Lanefoot Farm in Thornthwaite (about 3 miles o/s Keswick but walking distance to The Coledale in Braithwaite), this is an excellent site as a base for the northwest fells and surrounding area.

If sufficient members show interest, I will approach the site owners and see if they'll bend their "no groups" rule. My 4 year old son will be with me so it would be great for like minded people to join us.

Sounds interesting - depending when you are wanting to go.

This month im going to CockRock festival in Cockermouth and then onto Fisherground to meet up with Beezers and Daisy etc. So early August would be better for me.

You always have the opportunity to come to Fisherground meet for the last weekend if you want and then go to Lanefoot Farm afterwards.

Been away so sorry for the late reply.

Checked the forum too late to know about the Fisherground meet and in any case are committed on the last weekend to taking a good friend for a final walk and laying him to rest in Lakeland.

Was thinking about the last few days in July or the first few days in August. If this suits, post a new reply and we can get things sorted.
