Hi, I too am interested in over 60's and I dont mind steam rallies, used to visit them many years ago. I am widowed and live in Wolverhampton, so half way between Hereford and Derbyshire.
Yes Superpup, I can see the problem with no car!! I am Sure you will get lift offers though, depends where u r I suppose
Lunnie, there plenty of rallies in the Derbys/Notts/Leics areas which I usually go to, are these any good to you? The only one further south is the Great Dorset Steam Fair although one or two Northampton way too.
When John starts contacting peeps to get some club meets going, all should be sorted eh for us 'no longer in the first flush of youth' types lol
Hi Guys & Gals, Long time doing nothing much, The knee has been done and started OK however some 14 weeks after the operation I have developed a problem or two with muscles and tendons, Long and the short of it is, if I get down I can"t get up, however I am hopefull that this is just a glitch and very soon the wife will allow a solo trip without worrying. Praying for a barbie summer, best regards John.
hi john. hoping you keep improving. maybe a meet can be aranged for us getting on a bit campers. beautiful here this morning. but i got a days cleaning to do. just had new windows put in yesterday. 2 bedrooms and living room. jeez the dust. its everywhere. and, just to make sure anything can go wrong. i start hoovering. ...yeah. hoovers gives up the ghost. so. after that perfornace, i need a new hoover. so much for dyson. waste of money. my old cheap one last 12 years. and it was better. so back to argos i go. i am looking forward to have a few camping weekends away. assuming nothing else breaks down. ok. glad to see ya slowly getting better. take care mate..

After reading your post decided I would like to join your 60's camping do's. but have a problem cos I'm not 60 till November!!! but I will be camping at Stratford from the 31st may till 7th June which is a bit of a middling place for most to met up. But if that is to soon then I will also be camped in the malvern hills at the 3 counties showground in August. fab place.
But if I can't join till I'm 60 I will maybe see you next year .............
hi wire. i am sure just being under the 60 mark will not stop you. bound to be a few others who are not at the 60 age yet. i am 62. so got twp years to spare if you want them. lol
Thanks for the offer superpup but getting to 60 faster is not on my most wanted list.
What is on there is to go camping, all my gear is stacked on the kitchen table and can't wait for the off. But, have to go to germany first. get back and than pack up the car.
But meanwhile sat on computer while waiting for delivery of new Sunncamp Elan 200.
they tried to deliver it yesterday but failed to see the note that said BELL OUT OF ORDER. so got note through door!!
.'. still sat waiting.
Hopefully a get together will be arranged soon to suit everyone.
