Hi all, new to camping well went many moons ago but didnt have to put up tent :0) but I have decided to give it ago so its me and my 2 kids aged 8 + 6 (am i mad?) is there anyone else the same as me? anyone fancy meeting up some time? most of any fabulous advice most welcome :0) We getting excited already haha!
I go camping with my 2 boys aged 9 and 5. Planning a few trips away with them this year including a couple of festivals. Would be lovely to have someone else to go away with!

I am planning several rallies with the C&CC this year. You need to be a member (approx £38 for the year) but it gives you access to lots of cheap camping opportunities - average cost is just £6 per unit per night!
i'm the same with the camping. used to go few years back with all the luxuires but now starting off again from scratch but am determined to go!! I'm down in sunny Manchester but used to travel to Co Durham quite a lot with ex.

i will be taking my caravan to season site at thirklby hall (50 mins away from c durham,,which is wr i live too)..me hubby and my 2 boys aged 9 and 7..some wk ends hubby doesnt want to go ,,but that doesnt faze me,,lol
the site is great..lovely and friendly and my 2 boys just go off with friends and have stacks and stacks of fun..u are more than welcome to join us any wk end hun,,and if u struggle to put the tent up im sure my hubby or one of others will help..saturday nights are great fun,,barbees or just sitting round with vino whilst kids sleep :) and talking the night away :) fab!! u will feel really welcome at this site hun
Hi Wendy, we still not got the tent yet, tent shopping this weekend whoopie! but yep would be great to meet up sometime we hope to be sorted with gear as the weather is getting better now.
