We still have pitches available for the weekend, we will put all the ukcs campers together. I would have thought that the campsite would will fill up anyway so you wont be all on your own!!
skiTTish - £18.00 per night is actually a reduced rate so i guess we will not be seeing you anytime soon. We have plenty of awards to back our prices up and despite the vat rise we have kept our prices the same as last year, and we are cheaper than a few parks in our area that i would say aren't as good and with worse facilities as we have here.
No need to be abrupt :( We have stayed at Jasmin park a few times ,like I said ,not a bad site ,the facilities are fab ,although there isnt much in the area for us personally so we dont visit that often as we find it a bit over priced for that reason.
The ouchies was only in relation to the charge for a meet as meets we have been to have usually been less than £15 .Like I said ,not a bad site so no need to take offense xx
You make it out that we are charging £18.00 per night for an empty field. We are a five* park and we are offering ukcs members a discounted rate on our normal pitches. Simples.
Maybe some of these people that keep saying that prices for a "bit of grass" should open a campsite to see the huge cost involved.
£18 per night, less your VAT at 20% = £3.60
Left with £14.40
Electic (as not on a meter no doubt you will hear the whirl of the fan heaters going day & night) £4.00
Left with £10.40
Showers we have costed water used (metered here, heating oil wear & tear) around 38p per shower so family of 4 showering in a day = £1.52
Left with £8.88
Then take out waste removal, water for standpipes, washing up areas etc etc and as you see, Jasmine Park are not quite the highway men that some of you seem to think, cost invovled in running a campsite this year has doubled for us, some has to be added to pitch fees, hence why many site prices have increased, as has my fuel for my car, shopping at tesco, household bills etc etc etc
would have loved to have gone cept car is knacked and so is the van hope we get to try your site sometime soon
incidently Pillaton was more than 18 a night last year and has less facilities but was still a very popular meet
As you know, you cannot please everybody, the camping audience is too wide. Know your customers and keep offering quality and value for money, you can do no more. I had already booked my break when this meet was arranged but also intend to visit your site when we next take a holiday in the North East.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
