More chance of being killed by the cars heading to the Rhinka for ice cream, especially on a Sunday. The other one would be more likely a herd of cows going for milking.
It would appear that we will be camped 0.6 of a mile from Rhinka. So should manage to get back to the campsite before the ice cream for the sweet course melts in the blazing and burning sun that we are expecting during our month long trip over there.
Weather has been super here, hope it will last. Where the site is you will get the sun for most of the day. It is in a really nice part of the world,it is close to Whitehead which is lovely.
Ford Farm is lovely and only a short walk to the Rhinka (a must for ice cream lovers, even us who are SW members). Antrim Sixmile Water is a nice site too, beside the river and some lovely walks. Quiet and well run site with lovely wardens.
K9Wendy you should join us from 10 to 12 June in Portrush where a few of us have organised to meet up.
Came past the campsite at Jordanstown late this evening and it looked to be pretty full.
There seems to be barriers across the entrance/exit to the main carpark, so there werent any cars in it.
We went to have a look at it yesterday morning when up that direction and didn't see any barriers into the public carpark. There was only a gate into the caravan park area. The council would need to put barriers on carpark as I would think it is a boy racers paradise at night there and it is right beside caravan park.
They have done a lovely job at cleaning it up and cafe looks well but think it is too close to busy main road with a wooden fence between caravan and traffic.
Antrim carpark used to be like that at night before they put up barrier that is closed when caravan park warden leaves at night. Swipe card for site opens gates for those in park and we have stayed there quite a few times and have not had any problems with cars at night since they started using this system. Caravan park is quite a bit away from the main road so you don't get the passing road traffic just the odd boat starting early.
Can't see Jordanstown being on our list in the near future. Saying that never say never.

------------- The things that come to those who wait, may be the only things left by those who got there first.
Well at 11pm in the dark and dog tired it certainly looked like there were more than that in it. On Sunday afternoon there was a caravan and a motorhome.
There were two cars at the entrance with the occupants talking to other, this is what drew my attention to what looked like a barrier across on each side. There were no cars in the car park.
