Hello Whiz- I see you are a recent addition so welcome to UKCS. Whilst I have been posting on here for a while, I have yet to go on a meet, but we will be going to the one in Settle in mid May. I am sure that other seasoned UKCS-Meet survivors will be along soon who will be able to share first hand knowledge (though judging by the number of references to alcohol consumption it may be a minor miracle if anyone can remember anything!)  But in the meantime, check out the info under the Events/meets facility at the top of this page - there is info, photos etc.

In terms of what I am expecting, having gleaned info from various threads,I think its a chance to gather with likeminded folk who enjoy camping, and have a relaxed time - no pressure to join in everything, BBQ in eve, plus drink of choice ( including the legendary pink stuff) although if you are teetotal I am sure its not compulsory. Lots of people have kids who come along, and quite a few lasting friendships spring up.
